Warning: This post contains spoilers for Venom: The Last Dance. If you haven't watched the movie yet, make sure to save this page and make sure to return after doing so!

Back in 2018, a wild symbiotic journey began on the big screen. Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock and the Venom symbiote bonded for the first time, and what followed was a wacky adventure consisting of three movies across two different universes and with one Lethal Protector front and center. Unfortunately, all things must come to an end, and that was also the case for the charming relationship between our two protagonists.

Venom: The Last Dance concluded with the Venom symbiote sacrificing itself to take down multiple Xenophages and destroy the key to free Knull in the process. Meanwhile, audiences also witnessed the origin story of Flash Thompson; a man who eventually takes on the Agent Venom persona in comic book pages. But even if everything seems to indicate the new hero will take the spotlight and face The King in Black on future Sony projects, we shouldn't be too quick to dismiss the return of Venom. After all, there's still a way for Eddie to bond with his other one more time.

Eddie could reunite with the Venom symbiote in Battleworld

Right out of the way, it's important to remember Rex Strickland captured a piece of the Venom symbiote at the beginning of the movie and put it inside a container. Besides, audiences see that same container broken open in the second post-credits scene, which could be a hint towards the return of the Lethal Protector. But let's assume for a moment that said scene is meant to tease Flash Thompson's transformation into Agent Venom instead. Then what are the remaining options for Eddie? At first glance, it may seem like none... until we revisit the post-credits scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Eddie Brock was transported to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a brief moment and left a piece of the Venom symbiote behind before returning home. Their reunion seems highly unlikely given that they live in two different realities. However, there's a rumor that indicates every single movie set between Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars will take place in Battleworld; a mix of the Marvel multiverse ruled by Doctor Doom. Chances are that includes the MCU, as well as Sony's Spider-Man Universe. If that were the case then Eddie and a piece of his other would share the same physical space once again... and we all know what that means.

Multiple reports indicate Spider-Man 4 could see Tom Holland wear the symbiote and then team up with the Lethal Protector himself. If that were to be the case, then chances are all of these events could occur in Batteworld especially now that we know the wall-crawler's next movie releases after Avengers: Doomsday. So that means Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock could finally come face-to-face with Peter Parker and have a chance at recovering what was once lost.

Unfortunately, Venom: The Last Dance didn't give us a clear hint of what's to come next. However, we know The King in Black will be back, and with that in mind, it would be a weird decision if he never meets Eddie Brock's Venom given that the two are archnemesis in comic book pages. Sure, we've seen stranger things such as a stand-alone Morbius movie where Spider-Man doesn't show up. But this time, there aren't any strange licensing rights preventing that interaction from taking place. We should see Venom and Knull fight on the big screen by all means, and we can't wait for that day to finally come.
