These five new Spider-Man figures will leave you speechless
We can never have too much Spider-Man merch, so it's great to know more collectibles are coming our way. Recently, new stunning figures were revealed, and the best part is that there is something for everyone to enjoy. From a Funko Pop! that represents one of the wall-crawler's most iconic comic book stories, to a 1/6 scale figure of one of the most recognized supervillains ever created. These five figures might prove to be a welcome addition to your collection, so now is the perfect time to break them all down.
Amazing Spider-Man (1977) and Fantastic Four Spider-Man revealed
Two new Spider-Man Funko Pops were recently revealed in the form of Amazing Spider-Man (1977) and Fantastic Four Spider-Man. First of all, how cool is it that we finally have a Funko figure of Nicholas Hammond as the wall-crawler? After all, he was the first actor to portray Peter Parker in any live-action project. And even if it has been a long time, The Amazing Spider-Man (1977) is the most recent live-action Spidey series released. With all that in mind, fans of the character will undoubtedly want to add this figure to their collection.
On the other hand, we have a figure that represents one of the many times the wall-crawler has joined the Fantastic Four. It seems to be pulled from the Empyre (2020) comic book event, in which the Kree and Skrull waged a war against Earth. It will surely add a lot of variety to any collection with the blue and black color palette. Besides, it's worth noting this iteration of "Marvel's First Family" also had Wolverine in it, so it would be cool to have a matching figure of Logan in his blue suit as well.
In the same picture, we can also see previously revealed Funko Pop figures such as The Scarlet Spider and Superior Spider-Man. As if that wasn't enough, recently new wave of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 figures was also revealed. So all in all, Funko is definitely spoiling us, Spider-Man fans. Speaking of which...
Spider-Man Spider-Man No More! Funko Comic Cover is here
If we were to discuss Spider-Man stories that instantly became a classic, Spider-Man No More! would definitely be up there. It perfectly depicts how the wall-crawler is a necessity in New York City despite the hardships that mantle brings. Sam Raim even used this story as inspiration to create one of the greatest superhero movies ever: Spider-Man 2. So it's great we finally have that comic book arc immortalized in the form of this stunning figure.
Funko Pop! Comic Covers are vinyl figures accompanied by an iconic comic book cover. We've seen some great options across the years with characters such as Miguel O'Hara and Miles Morales front and center. However, it's hard to deny that one with Peter Parker himself is kind of unbeatable. However, it's worth mentioning this Spider-Man No More! Funko Pop! Comic Cover is exclusive to Target stores. But while it might be a little harder to get, it will be definitely worth it.
You can already pre-order this Funko Pop! Comic Cover for $29.99 and it has a release date of December 22, 2024.
A revival of a Venom classic
Few Spider-Man adaptations are as influential as Spider-Man: The Animated Series (1994), so it doesn't come as a surprise that, more than 29 years later, we're still getting new merch of it. First, Mondo announced a 1/6 Spider-Man action figure with tons of accessories such as a Peter Parker head sculpt, many web attachments, 6 different pairs of hands, a camera, and more. Now, the Lethal Protector will be joining him as well.
This new 1/6 scale Venom figure perfectly depicts the character as seen in Spider-Man: The Animated Series (1994) all the way to the red and blue shadings. It comes with multiple accessories such as a head sculpt of Venom with the tongue out, an Eddie Brock head sculpt, web attachments, and multiple pairs of hands in different positions. Additionally, there's a Limited Edition of the figure that also has a head sculpt of Eddie transforming into Venom, a head sculpt of Venom with slime on the tongue, a symbiote tendril attachment, and a web trap for Spider-Man.
You can already pre-order the standard edition of the figure for $245, and the limited edition for $255. It has an estimated shipping date of December 2024.
The Spot takes the spotlight
To say the Spider-Verse franchise has taken the world by storm would be an understatement. Miles Morales' adventures on the big screen see him travel across the multiverse, team up with other versions of the wall-crawler, develop his own superhero identity, and gather critical acclaim along the way. And while the two movies released so far have a good amount of merch already, we can never have too much.
A new Marvel Legends figure of the Spot was recently revealed. While the supervillain already had another Marvel Legends toy, it didn't depict him quite like this. After absorbing the dark matter of Super Colliders in different realities, the Spot becomes a highly powerful and dangerous entity with the power to tear apart the multiverse. Personally, I don't think the figure does justice to the villain's effects seen on screen. That being said, it's difficult to translate the Spot's powers into a non-animated collectible.
At the moment, there's no release date. But we can expect it to have the standard price point of $24.99 that other Marvel Legends figures have.
