Spider-Man: No Way Home did the impossible and reunited the three different live-action variants of the wall-crawler in the same movie. Not only was it an exhilarating ride that made all of our dreams come true, but it also gave us a quick glimpse into what Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker have been up to since the end of their respective franchises. Fortunately, it seems the multiversal crossover won't be the end of the story for the latter, as Andrew is rumored to appear in not only one but two different Marvel Cinematic Universe/Sony's Spider-Man Universe projects, and they could be huge.
Andrew Garfield is reported to return as Spider-Man in two more projects
According to leaker MyTimeToShineHello via X (formerly Twitter), Andrew Garfield will portray the role of the friendly neighborhood hero "at least" two more times. While the source didn't reveal in which projects said comeback could take place, that doesn't mean we can't look elsewhere for answers. Insider Alex P, from The Cosmic Circus, recently teased Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker will finally be granted his wish to face off against an alien in the form of Knull. Furthermore, the idea was also confirmed by Cryptic HD QUALITY.
Recent reports indicate the King In Black will be merely introduced in Venom: The Last Dance, and that he'll be set up as a big bad for future films such as the MCU's Spider-Man 4. Besides, it has been rumored for quite some time Tom Holland's next "stand-alone" adventure will be a multiversal crossover with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. So all pieces combined would suggest Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock and the three live-action variants of the wall-crawler will come together to fight Knull and his legion of symbiotes on the big screen.
But what does that mean for Andrew Garfield? Well, Spider-Man: No Way Home revealed he's in a bit of a dark place after losing Gwen Stacy. He even "stopped pulling his punches" when fighting crime, and has become "bitter". Now, I don't know about you, but it seems to me like it would be the perfect opportunity for him to wear the black suit and have all those negative emotions amplified even further before eventually letting go of such a big loss. That way, even if Andrew's saga is never completed, audiences would still see his arc fulfilled.
As for the other "unannounced" project in which The Amazing Spider-Man could appear, all signs indicate it's going to be Avengers: Secret Wars. After all, Earth's Mightiest Heroes' highly-anticipated adventure is expected to unite many characters from the multiverse to battle against a common threat (Robert Downey Jr.'s Doomsday, perhaps?). The good news is Tobey Maguire is also rumored to show up, reuniting with the other two Spider-Men for one last ride.
