Marvel's Spider-Man 2 gets new suits in its latest update

It may not be more missions, but new content is coming to Marvel's Spider-Man 2 in the form of these two suits.

It's been over a year since the release of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and, unfortunately, no DLC has come our way yet (or ever will). However, that doesn't mean Insomniac has stopped working on Spidey's most recent title altogether. Not long ago, an update was released that brought a lot of enhancements to the game for the PlayStation 5 Pro. Players can now experience fidelity-like graphics at 60 fps, see more details in the city's background, and witness an increase in resolution along with other improvements. However, if you don't have a PS5 Pro (or just want something brand new), then this little addition might do the trick.

Two new suits are coming to Marvel's Spider-Man 2

The Fly N' Fresh suit pack is available for anyone who owns Marvel's Spider-Man 2, regardless of the version of the PS5 they own. It includes two costumes (one for each friendly neighborhood hero) that look ideal for a little workout. From the headband to the lifting gloves and all the way to the sneakers, these suits are tailor-made for sport. Furthermore, there's more additional content in the form of 10 Photo Mode stickers and Two Photo Mode frames. The update is already available for everyone worldwide, and you can download it here at no extra cost.

So far, the reception of these suits has been mostly negative. Unfortunately, it isn't all that surprising considering most of the original Spider-Man designs in this game seem to be a bit of a miss with fans (especially that Adidas collaboration which only succeeded in making us appreciate Miles Morales' classic look even more). People wanted the inclusion of established costumes such as one representing Spectacular Spider-Man, or even the return of the Velocity Suit. However, none of them came to be.

At the moment, it seems this latest Fly N' Fresh update might be the final addition to Marvel's Spider-Man 2. It's disappointing to know this game's story is over for good, even when there are still so many loose ends. However, if we've learned anything about Insomniac over the past few years is that they never take a break.

Currently, Insomniac Games is working on Marvel's Wolverine for PS5. Besides, the wall-crawler's franchise is all but over. Rumor has it a Venom spin-off might be on the table, and we all know the introduction of Cindy Moon in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was building towards something big as well. It's just a matter of time before we finally get a better idea of what plans they have in store and, when that happens, we'll make sure to break it all down here in Whatever A Spider Can.
