Everything will come to an end in a matter of a few days. The symbiotic story that started back in 2018 will meet its conclusion with the release of Venom: The Last Dance. Anticipations are high for the Lethal Protector's upcoming movie to deliver a grand finale filled with lots of spectacle, explosive set pieces, and maybe even a few horror sequences now that Knull will take the spotlight. However, the fact that the trilogy is ending doesn't mean that Sony can't tease a few upcoming storylines that are sure to excite fans. Fortunately, it seems that's exactly what will happen if a new report is to be believed.

Venom: The Last Dance post-credits scene will reportedly take Venom to the MCU

As revealed by insiders Alex Perez and Cryptic HD QUALITY, Venom: The Last Dance will have two post-credits scenes. Furthermore, one will show Eddie Brock "crossing over" to the Marvel Cinematic Universe - a move that could set all the pieces in motion for the events of Spider-Man 4. Backing this idea up are the movie reshoots that took place in New York City. It's a very curious location pick, considering Eddie Brock lives in San Francisco and was last spotted in Mexico during the post-credits scene of Venom: Let There Be Carnage. So why the sudden change of scenery unless there was a big reason behind it?

It's important to remember the Lethal Protector has already visited the MCU during the post-credits scenes of Spider-Man: No Way Home, in which he left a piece of the symbiote behind. It will be interesting to see if that storyline will finally have a continuation now that he could make the trip for the second time. However, if that were the case, then it would open a whole new can of worms. Previously, it took a failed spell from Doctor Strange for the interdimensional travel to occur, and even then there are still some plot holes that fans have taken upon themselves to fix. So how will Sony explain it now?

In comic book pages, an evil version of Reed Richards (better known as The Maker) figures out symbiotes are key to travel between dimensions without the host suffering from any form of physical deterioration. Furthermore, the alien species also share a hivemind that could very easily surpass the borders of the multiverse as a whole. And now that Knull will enter the picture, the hivemind will surely have a lot of relevance in the story. So there's some interesting backstory Sony could use to send Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock right into Spider-Man's homeworld.

As for what happens next, it's all still up in the air. However, multiple rumors suggest the King in Black and Eddie Brock will be back for Spider-Man 4. If that were the case, then the post-credits scene of Venom: The Last Dance could be more important than expected. Furthermore, the multiverse could be at the center of the center of Spidey's next movie as well considering there's a high chance of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire making a comeback. And if we dive a little deeper into the rumor mill, even Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy is reported to debut as Spider-Gwen during the events of Spider-Man 4.

There are endless possibilities for what could happen next, and it all seems to start on October 25, 2024, with the release of Venom: The Last Dance.
