Veteran Marvel actress could play Spider-Gwen in these two MCU movies

Let's do this one last time. She's the one and only Spider-Gwen, and she could finally make her live-action debut in these two anticipated MCU movies.

Spider-Man is one of the most popular heroes ever created, which has resulted in many people getting to wear the iconic mask over the years. Of course, there's Peter Parker, who's the original and most beloved version of the character. However, there are other fan-favorite variants such as Miles Morales, Miguel O'Hara, and, of course, Gwen Stacy herself.

It's no secret that Spider-Gwen has recently stolen the spotlight in the Spider-Verse animated saga. However, it seems like it will finally be her time to achieve the same in a live-action project. A new report may signal a very bright future for the iconic web-slinging hero and, better yet, the casting could be perfectly on point.

Emma Stone reportedly in talks to be Spider-Gwen in two MCU projects

According to insider Marvel News, Emma Stone is in talks with Marvel Studios to portray the role of Spider-Gwen in Spider-Man 4 and Avengers: Secret Wars. Since both projects are rumored to feature the multiverse, it would be the perfect chance to introduce a variant of Gwen Stacy who got bitten by a radioactive spider instead of Peter Parker. Not only would it be exciting for the fan-favorite character to finally have a live-action debut, but Emma would be more than perfect for the role too (as she proved in The Amazing Spider-Man franchise).

Knull has been recently reported to be the main villain of Spider-Man 4. With that in mind, it wouldn't come as a surprise if Sony attempted to form a team of arachnid heroes (with Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy, Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield's Peter Parkers, and even Tom Hardy's Venom) to take on the King in Black. After all, the supervillain is considered an "Avengers-level" threat worthy of starring in an "Avengers-level" movie. Maybe we could even witness a "Venomized" version of all these heroes at some point, which would be nothing of amazing.

Furthermore, Secret Wars will feature many heroes from all over the multiverse coming together to stop a common threat (likely to be that of Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom). If Emma truly debuts as Spider-Gwen in Spider-Man 4, then it would be a shocker if she wasn't present in Earth's Mightiest Heroes' highly anticipated adventure. After all, the movie is shaping up to be one of the biggest superhero events ever created - with seemingly everyone involved.

It's important to remember that the return of Gwen Stacy (and especially one interpreted by Emma Stone) would also have huge ramifications for Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker. After all, he failed to save a variant of her during the events of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Likewise, Marvel could play the same card and have Emma's character lose Andrew's in her universe. That way, their reunion would be both exhilarating and utterly heartbreaking to witness, especially if they become close only to be separated when they return back to their respective worlds.

Yes, we're ready to get hurt.
