Venom: The Last Dance will be the last chapter in the Lethal Protector's saga. As such, fans expect Sony to end things with a bang - pulling every ace up their sleeve while they still can. Naturally, one big question in everyone's mind is: Will Eddie Brock and Peter Parker finally meet face-to-face? Could we finally see the Venom symbiote bond with the wall-crawler, and later return to its original host with a big, white, distorted spider symbol on the chest?

For months now, multiple sources have reported that Spider-Man would show up in the movie at some point. Some claimed Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker would be the chosen one to fight Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock, while others stated Tom Holland would take audiences by surprise. However, now there's a new report by a very reliable source that finally sheds some light on this lingering mystery.

Spider-Man will reportedly not appear in Venom: The Last Dance

According to established insider Daniel Richtman , Spider-Man will not show up in Venom: The Last Dance. This comes after a clip of Tom Hardy went viral in which he's asked whether the web-slinger has a role to play in the movie, to which he replies: "I don't know... There are always possibilities, but I can't possibly say anything because this is the last movie (...), so I would love that". Many took such a tease as a confirmation that the two iconic frenemies would finally share the big screen for the first time in more than 15 years since the events of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3. Unfortunately, it would appear that isn't the case... at least, not yet.

Venom: The Last Dance is already a pretty stacked movie considering it features the long-awaited debut of Knull, and it will introduce possibly two more villains in the form of Agony and either Toxin or Lasher. All while Venom is on the run from Chiwetel Ejiofor 's character and his military agency. Oh, and we can't forget Rhys Ifans is playing an undisclosed role in the movie too. The worrying part is Sony has to juggle between all these storylines and characters in just 1 hour and 49 minutes of runtime (including credits). So with all of that in mind, it seems there is no more room left for the wall-crawler to make his big entrance.

It's crazy to think we live in a world where three Venom movies can go by and in none of them he fights Spider-Man. However, the long-awaited reunion may finally take place in Spider-Man 4. It's reported Tom Holland's next stand-alone adventure will see him team up with Eddie Brock to fight the Lord of the Abyss and his army of symbiotes. After all, Venom: The Last Dance director Kelly Marcel confirmed Knull is too big of a character to be a one-and-done - so it's clear will see his return at a later point.

The King in Black was introduced in Donny Cates' Venom (2018) in which he acted as the main antagonist as well. At no point in the series did he and Spider-Man have a single interaction. Instead, Eddie Brock and the Venom symbiote were the heroes of the story all the way through. So it would be weird for any live-action movie to feature Knull without his nemesis, Eddie, being there. With that in mind, it appears very likely we're far from seeing the last of Tom Hardy in the iconic role.
