The Marvel Cinematic Universe is currently under the Multiversal Saga, which means most projects are building towards a greater storyline that will conclude in Avengers: Secret Wars. As the story goes on, fans have come to expect many crazy cameos to take place and highly anticipated team-ups to steal the spotlight. Anything could happen courtesy of the multiverse and yet, there's one potential storyline very few could've seen coming. The only thing more shocking than watching our favorite heroes team up is getting to see them battling each other, and it seems that will be the case for our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

Tom, Andrew, and Tobey will reportedly fight in Avengers: Secret Wars

According to insider MyTimeToShineHello, all three live-action variants of the wall-crawler will battle each other in Avengers: Secret Wars. Granted, it's important to take all rumors with a grain of salt, but if this report proves to be true then it would be quite the shocking twist. After all, the last time audiences saw Andrew Garfield, Tobey Maguire, and Tom Holland's Peter Parkers was during the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, and they were on pretty good terms there. So, of course, this begs the question of what would need to happen for them to come at odds with each other.

Following up on Spider-Man: No Way Home's post-credits scene, it has been reported that Tom Holland's Spider-Man will finally bond with the symbiote in Spider-Man 4 and "keep it for the next few years". It's important to remember Peter is currently at the lowest point in his life since the whole world has forgotten his existence and has no more family left. So bonding with a parasitic alien at such a bad time could lead to disastrous results. Following up on that same idea, another rumor claims the MCU's version of the wall-crawler will uncharacteristically be a villain in Avengers: Secret Wars likely due to the suit. With that in mind, Tobey and Andrew's Spider-Man could try to make Tom's Peter come back to his senses, but not before a little confrontation.

Another explanation as to why all three live-action Spider-Men would fight each other can be found in the source material. In the original Secret Wars comic book series, heroes and villains were transported to Battleworld and pitted against each other by the Beyonder. The surviving group would've won that which their heart desired. So what if the story were to change a bit and Marvel heroes from different dimensions were to fight for the survival of their own universe? It would give a compelling reason to all three Peter Parkers to come face-to-face with each other, and it would make it all the more heartbreaking since they probably wouldn't want to do so.

During a blink-and-you-miss-it moment in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Andrew and Tobey's Peters webbed each other before understanding they were a variant of the same person from different universes. It was a cool little confrontation, but one that happened far too quickly. So it looks like we could get an extended (and perhaps more) version of it a few years down the line. It could be a beloved cinematic event, but only if the trio of arachnids team up afterward to defeat a greater threat. That way things don't end on a bad note between them, and fans could still learn once and for all who's the strongest Spidey.
