Throughout the years, we've seen our fair share of Lego Spider-Man sets. Some picture Spidey and the Green Goblin as dinosaurs, others include an Anti-Venom Minifigure, and we have that stunning (and huge) Daily Bugle set made up of more than 3,700 pieces. However, many of them are difficult to find nowadays — especially those that were created as part of old movie tie-ins. Tom Holland's MCU saga is an exception given that it's still going on strong on the big screen. But trying to find an original Sam Raimi Spider-Man Lego set might prove to be a complex (and expensive) task — which is a shame because there were some amazing options out there.

There was a set inspired by the final fight between Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man and Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin that included a whole bridge and a moving Roosevelt Island Tram Car. There was another one depicting Spider-Man's first swing sequence when he was chasing Uncle Ben's Killer across the streets of New York. But perhaps the most iconic one is Spider-Man's Train Rescue, an amazing set that depicts Spidey's attempt to save the moving train that Doc Ock sabotaged. It also contained four cool-looking minifigures in the form of Spidey, Otto Octavius, J. Jonah Jameson, and the train conductor. So if you weren't one of the lucky ones to buy it day one back in 2004, then I have great news for you.

A Spider-Man 2 Train Battle Lego set is reportedly coming soon

According to Falconbricks on X (formerly Twitter), a new Spider-Man 2 Lego set will be released on Aug. 1, 2025, and it will depict the battle between the wall-crawler and Doc Ock on top of the moving train. It will reportedly be made up of 393 pieces and cost $49.99. Out of all the Lego Spider-Man sets to bring back, this one is the ideal choice, especially considering how iconic that battle was on the big screen. If you were to think about some of the most beloved Spidey fights across all his live-action movies, chances are the train sequence is one of the first to come to mind.

The previously-released Spider-Man 2 train set included just one train car, so chances are the upcoming release will follow the same road (especially given its low price point). What remains to be seen is which mini-figures will be included this time around. Spidey and Doc Ock are sure to be there, but could we expect J. Jonah Jameson to make a return? Fingers crossed that's the case because his figure was amazing.

This leak comes shortly after Lego also revealed a set based on a Spider-Man movie. The biggest difference, however, is their latest release was inspired by Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse — specifically the fight between Miles Morales and the Spot in the grocery store. Coupled with the Spider-Man: No Way Home Final Battle set, it seems Lego has no intention of stopping the wall-crawler train going. And I'm not complaining in the slightest (only my wallet is a bit).

If the set is real and in the works, then Lego will officially announce it soon. Hopefully, it turns out to be as spectacular as the Spidey vs Doc Ock battle on Sam Rami's Spider-Man 2.
