This Marvel veteran wants to share the screen with Tom Holland's Spider-Man
One of the biggest perks of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is getting to watch our favorite heroes cross paths with each other. Some of the highlights have been the Tony Stark and Stephen Strange interaction in Avengers: Infinity War as well as Deadpool & Wolverine getting their own movie. Fans like to see good team-ups, so it's no wonder some actors want them as well.
Tom Holland's Spider-Man is currently one of the biggest faces in the MCU. As such, he's no stranger to big crossovers - making his debut in Captain America: Civil War and more recently getting to share the screen with Tobey Maguire's and Andrew Garfield's version of the wall-crawler in Spider-Man: No Way Home. But why stop there? After all, Marvel has the chance to give us his biggest team-up yet, and this Marvel veteran also wants to make it happen.
Charlie Cox wants to team up with Spider-Man again
During a panel at FAN EXPO Chicago, Charlie Cox commented on how he'd love to cross paths once again with Tom Holland's Peter Parker. After all, the two of them already met for a brief moment in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Unfortunately, none of them had their superhero costumes on nor got to fight any bad guy side-by-side.
A Spider-Man and Daredevil crossover seems like a no-brainer. The two of them are considered "street-level" heroes in the Marvel playbook and share a common villain in the form of Wilson Fisk better known as The Kingpin. For a time, there were rumors that this long-awaited team-up would come in Tom Holland's Spider-Man 4. Unfortunately, recent reports seem to indicate the upcoming wall-crawler movie is heading in a different direction.
Deadpool & Wolverine taught us that the right pairing of heroes could make for the most memorable of adventures. So Marvel should, by all means, consider giving Team Red its very own chance at the spotlight. Getting to watch both heroes swing across New York's night skyline would feel like a dream come true. Besides, there are multiple great stories to take inspiration from including the likes Spider-Man/Kingpin: To The Death and Spider-Man: The Animated Series.
Charlie Cox will reprise his role as The Man Without Fear very soon in Daredevil: Born Again. And while Tom Holland's Spider-Man 4 hasn't been "officially" confirmed (with rumors suggesting a reveal could come this month) Kevin Feige has talked about the wall-crawler's next chapter in interviews. Besides, both heroes are most likely to appear in Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars. So fingers crossed a new project gets added to that extensive list featuring both Matt Murdock and Peter Parker together.
Daredevil: Born Again will be released on March 2025 on Disney+.
