It's no secret that multiversal superhero stories are a bit of a trend nowadays. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has started to breach the barrier between different realities on the big screen for quite some time now, and it appears Spider-Man 4 will follow the same path. However, the concept has also been adapted outside the realm of movies and into books. Case in point; Marvel launched a series of "What If..." titles to reimagine superhero stories in ways we've never seen before.

In March 2024, the very first book was published in the form of What If...Loki Was Worthy? (A Loki & Valkyrie Story). More recently, the latest entry in the saga was released, which is sure to please both Spider-Man and Scarlet Witch fans alike. Just imagine for a second what would happen if these two beloved superheroes ended up being... siblings.

Spidey and Wanda share the spotlight in this new What If book

Marvel: What If...Wanda Maximoff and Peter Parker Were Siblings? is finally out now. The book sees a young Wanda Maximof living in Queens with Peter Parker as her neighbor. Unfortunately, tragedy strikes and Wanda loses both of her parents. So with nowhere left to go, she's quickly adopted by Aunt May and Uncle Ben.

The rest of the story plays out as you'd imagine. Peter is bitten by a radioactive spider and takes on the mantle of the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Similarly, Wanda develops her powers and, under the guidance of Doctor Strange, turns into the Scarlet Witch. The pair of siblings then protect New York from the unknown and, together, they share experiences that very few people in their universe would be able to understand. However, things quickly take a turn as Wanda goes on a mission on her own only to meet his brother from a different universe - Pietro (better known as Quicksilver).

It's an interesting concept that reimagines the origin story of Spider-Man and the Scarlet Witch in a new and fairly unique way. If you're intrigued and want to learn more, you can purchase Marvel: What If…Wanda Maximoff and Peter Parker Were Siblings? A Scarlet Witch & Spider-Man Story here.

Venom will soon take the spotlight

What's better than one Spider-Man-related multiversal book? Two of them of course. Fortunately, we'll get just that on October 22 with the release of Marvel: What If . . . Marc Spector Was Host to Venom? The Lethal Protector overtaking Moon Knight sounds nothing short of amazing. But as they leave a trail of blood in their path, who'll be able to stop them if not for a variant of Marc Spector from another universe?
