Iconic MCU hero wants to team up with Tom Holland's Spider-Man
Now that the multiverse is wide open in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there's no limit to the amount of unlikely team-ups we can witness. Proof of that is audiences saw Wolverine and Deadpool steal the spotlight in one of the most fun superhero movies ever made. Additionally, all dreams came true when the three live-action versions of Spider-Man came together to stop the Sinister Si... Five. The Sinister Five. However, even amidst all the excitement, there's one special pairing that hasn't happened yet, even if it's more anticipated than others.
Daredevil and Spider-Man can be a great team and even better friends in comic book pages. However, we've only watched them cross paths in one short sequence during Spider-Man: No Way Home (and none of them had their superhero costumes on). As such, fans have eagerly awaited the release of a project dedicated to the two of them saving the day. Rumors indicated the original pitch for Spider-Man 4 saw the two heroes come together to fight the Kingpin until the movie shifted to a multiverse adventure. However, Matt Murdock himself remains hopeful he can one day share the screen with Peter Parker.
Charlie Cox wants to fight side-to-side with Tom Holland's Spider-Man
During an interview with CinePOP, Daredevil actor Charlie Cox expressed his excitement to join the MCU so that he could finally cross paths with other iconic Marvel characters. When asked about what hero would he like to fight with, he mentioned Spider-Man without hesitation:
"The thing that’s most exciting I think is the promise of (...) being able to involve more of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with characters being able to come and us being able to go into other shows (...) I’d like to do some fighting with Spider-Man at some point. That would be really fun."

Rumor has it Daredevil: Born Again will loosely adapt the events of the Devil's Reign comic book series. In it, the Kingpin takes advantage of his position as the Mayor of New York to outlaw all vigilantes in the city, including the Man Without Fear, Luke Cage, Captain America, Iron Man, Jessica Jones, and, of course, the wall-crawler. While the Disney+ series is highly unlikely to feature that many heroes, would it be too much to ask for a little Spidey cameo?
Either way, Peter Parker and Matt Murdock will likely cross paths in either Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars (perhaps both). Hopefully, they're able to share a bit of screen time amidst all the chaos the movies will surely have. And who knows? Perhaps after the Multiverse Saga is over Marvel can focus again on telling street-level stories. If that ends up being the case, then a Spider-Man and Daredevil project should be a high priority, without a doubt.
Daredevil: Born Again will be released on March 4, 2025 in Disney+.
