The Marvel Cinematic Universe is currently undergoing the Multiverse Saga—a collection of movies and shows that heavily deal with alternate realities and the dire consequences of wandering into them. We're nearing the end of this chapter, which means things will only get even more strange from here onwards. Unlikely cameos will take place, characters that were already dead could make a return (such as Aunt May according to new reports), and The Avengers are sure to add a few new members to their ranks. Speaking of which...
Avengers: Doomsday will mark the first time in over seven years that Earth's Mightiest Heroes will assemble on the big screen. But with Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, and Natasha Romanoff out of the picture, audiences will see a different iteration of the team comprised of new faces. Now that the Mutants have entered the scene and Marvel's First Family is soon to make their cinematic debut, the new Avengers will have no shortage of iconic characters among them. But perhaps one of the most exciting prospects is that a street-level hero we've seen for years on the small screen could finally join them—making up for a perfect team.
Daredevil will reportedly appear in Avengers: Doomsday
According to reliable insider Daniel Richtman, Daredevil will have a small role in Avengers: Doomsday. While the Man Without Fear has already crossed paths with other iconic MCU heroes such as Tom Holland's Peter Parker and Tatiana Maslany's She-Hulk, only the latter occasion was a proper team-up. So getting to see him join forces with Earth's Mightiest Heroes will definitely be a delight even if it's just for a brief moment.
There's a chance Avengers: Doomsday features two different battles in two different settings ala Avengers: Infinity War. Remember how Marvel's greatest heroes were divided into two teams? One of them tried to stop Thanos on his homeworld, Titan, while the other held their ground against the Mad Titan's forces in Wakanda. Well, what if Doom were to attack on two different fronts and we were presented with a similar scenario?
Perhaps audiences could see an invasion take place in New York where Doombots attack innocent civilians while Doctor Doom himself is in his castle at Latveria. If that were to be the case, then a group of "street-level" heroes including the likes of Spider-Man, Punisher, Wolverine, and Daredevil could protect the city while the Fantastic Four, Captain Marvel, and Doctor Strange venture into the fictional country. Besides, it's worth remembering there was a report indicating Spidey and Punisher would cross paths at some point after the events of Spider-Man 4. If that's the case, it would be extremely likely for Matt Murdock to be there as well, and what better place to feature such a crossover if not an Avengers movie?
Audiences will soon get to watch the Devil of Hell's Kitchen join forces with the wall-crawler on the small screen in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. But while that's an exciting prospect, we can't wait for the two to meet in a live-action project. Sure, they briefly crossed paths in Spider-Man: No Way Home but none of them were suited up and saving the day. And given their close relationship in comic book pages, it's only fair such an event is finally adapted on the big screen.
On the bright side, it seems Avengers: Doomsday will finally feature the long-awaited crossover between Matt Murdock, Peter Parker, and potentially other MCU heroes. That alone makes the waiting for the movie feel even longer now. So fingers crossed Daredevil: Born Again can fill a bit of the void coming from a lack of Avengers movies in all these years while we keep waiting for 2026 to come.
Avengers: Doomsday will be released on May 1, 2026.
