All-New Venom is here and it's all we needed
If you're up to date on Donny Cates' Venom (2018), The King in Black, and Al Ewing's Venom (2021), then you know the Lethal Protector has been at the front and center of many cosmic and larger-than-life stories. So to shake things up a bit, the Venom symbiote detached from Eddie Brock and bonded with a new mysterious host. See, no one knows who this All-New Venom is. All we know is that there are four possible candidates: Rick Jones, Luke Cage, Robbie Robertson, and Madame Masque. We were all eager to see how this new chapter in the symbiote's history would turn out, and we finally have some answers
All-New Venom (2024) #1 finally hit shelves on December 04, 2024, and it's everything we could've hoped for and more. It takes the character back to basics and presents a simple yet effective mystery that will keep readers guessing Venom's identity for a time (even if we all unanimously agree Luke Cage is likely to be behind the symbiote). Meanwhile, Dylan Brock will put on the detective hat (much like readers) and will attempt to discover who took what belongs to him. All things considered, All-New Venom is looking to be a great new addition to Marvel's comic book series, and we can't wait to see where issue #2 takes us next.
Marvel Rivals shattered expectations
We were all there when Crystal Dynamics failed to make a live-service game starring Earth's Mightiest Heroes and quite possibly some of the world's most recognizable characters. Then, we witnessed how a titan of the industry, Rocksteady, plummeted to the ground with the release of their latest live-service title Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. It appeared no studio would be able to succeed at making a live-service superhero game, but lo and behold the day finally came.
NetEase's Marvel Rivals took the world by storm when it was released on Dec. 6, 2024. It's an addictive PvP shooter with amazing gameplay mechanics, no devious microtransactions, and almost no issues during launch. The game had over 444 thousand concurrent players on launch day, signaling just how beloved and well-made it is. Who would've thought all you needed for your superhero game to succeed was not to rush it and treat it with love and care? Well, one thing's for certain: NetEase definitely understood the assignment.
