Spider-Man 4 is reported to be a team-up movie starring shocking characters

While we wait for the release of the untitled Spider-Man 4 (and discover if it truly has been delayed or not), we're slowly learning what its story could potentially be. More recently, a new report claims Marvel and Sony want to recreate the same magic of Deadpool & Wolverine by making Spidey's next movie a team-up adventure. So who will the wall-crawler side with? Well, none other than Tom Hardy's Venom himself.

It's worth remembering that a piece of Venom's symbiote was left behind in the MCU after the post-credits scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Furthermore, if rumors are to be believed, every Marvel universe (including Sony's) will come together during the events of Avengers: Doomsday where Battleworld will be formed. With that in mind, Eddie would have the chance to reunite with his other and team up with Spidey to defeat a bigger threat (Knull, anyone?).

Besides Venom, fan-favorites Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker are also reported to join the fight. Not only that but they'll have "extended roles" as compared to their previous appearance in No Way Home. All things considered, it's safe to say that Spider-Man 4 will be a multiversal movie—and perhaps the last one we'll have in a while given that the Multiversal Saga in the MCU is coming to an end. So Sony and Marvel definitely want to end things with a bang.
