Symbiote suit teased for Spider-Verse Secret Wars spin-off!

You’ll all probably already know that Spider-Verse is set to continue well into Secret Wars with a Spider-Verse spin-off title bringing together some of the more prominent Spider-Verse Spider-Men and Spider-Women once again! Depending on how well you liked the Spider-Verse event this is either fantastic news or like a nightmare that never ends!
For those of you that feel like you desperately want to wake up from what you consider to be a lackluster comic book storyline event. maybe the following piece of news/information will at least get you a bit excited that it’s continuing into Secret Wars! That is of course providing that a change of writers isn’t enough to get you re-interested in Spider-Verse.
New Spider-Verse writer Mike Costa sat down with Nerdist to talk about the new title and give a few scoops about what the adventures of Spider-UK, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Ham, Spider-Man India and Mayday Parker: Spider-Woman will entail and when asked whether symbiotes will appear in the spin-off he dropped a juicy little potential hint for fans of the original Secret Wars, especially where Spider-Man is concerned.
First he explains where his love of symbiotes comes from
"I don’t know how I can answer that question without a spoiler so I’ll just say this: When I was a kid, “What If?…The Alien Costume had Possessed Spider-Man” left an indelible mark on my impressionable mind. In that story, the symbiote eventually drains Peter like a vampire and jumps to more and more powerful heroes until it attaches itself to Thor and Black Bolt has to scream at him (bringing down an entire mountain) to finally defeat the thing."
He then added
"This was the most awesome story I had ever read in my life. If I were in charge of Secret Wars, EVERYbody would have a symbiote, including Galactus. But… sadly for alien costumes everywhere, I am not in charge, so you’ll just have to wait and see where the suit turns up for yourself."
I think we can go ahead and chalk that down as confirmation that a symbiote suit will indeed be appearing in the Secret Wars event somewhere, although it might not necessarily be in ‘Spider-Verse’. Saying that, an issue where all of the individual and varied Spider-Men and Spider-Women get possessed by symbiote would be beyond awesome!
