Dress up as Milo Manara’s Spider-Woman this Halloween!

Now Halloween isn’t that far away which means that I imagine some people will be looking for an outfit. Now, I think it goes without saying that we here at Whatever a Spider Can will always recommend dressing up as everyone’s favourite neighbourhood Spider-Man for the spooky festival. But there might be some Spider-Fans out there frowning on the idea.

Well, in that case why not dress up as something topical instead, something that’s made all of the headlines for all of the wrong reasons. No, I’m not talking about the devastating Ebola virus, or Vladimir Putin, I am of course talking about Spider-Woman! That’s right folks, Spider-Woman has been in the headlines for quite some time thanks to Milo Manara’s variant cover for Spider-Woman #1. The cover allegedly needlessly sexualized Jessica Drew leading to one artist critiquing the cover, and to Milo Manara himself responding with a defence.

But now you too can be the overly sexualized, randomly posed Spider-Woman from Milo Manara’s cover for Halloween thanks to this great skin-tight costume from bonhoo.com. Just make sure you don’t bend over provocatively on building ledges and I’m sure you’ll be fine!

Oh nevermind. It looks like a real life latex suit does actually follow the laws of physics and doesn’t literally mould around your bum so that every curve can be excruciatingly seen. I guess you guys will just have to go as plain old regular Spider-Woman instead of Milo Manara’s. Halloween is ruined!
