If you’ve been paying attention you’ll know that possibly the best musical show involving Spider-Man was on its way. But guess what The Colonel Mustard Theatre Company’s latest musical Spider-Man: The Musical: The Musical is actually happening right now and today is the last peformance, with the show opening its doors yesterday.

So if you’re around Cooper Park (corner of 8th and E Streets) in Lincoln, NE at around 7.30pm make sure that you catch the free performance because I promise you that you’re unlikely to do anything else better with your evening than this. If you’re not convinced here’s how they have billed the show

"“How can a musical be a musical? Well, that’s what happens when you write a parody about Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, the infamous 2011 Broadway show. In this re-imagined parody of the true story, we affectionately poke fun at The Great White Way, adding our own whimsical mythology to the Spider-Man franchise. The story is equal parts inspired by The Producers and Phantom of the Opera, revolving around comically exaggerated versions of the artists involved (Julie Taymor, Bono, The Edge, and more!) as they struggle to pull together a monumental production, only to discover that there is much more underneath the surface — like, a horrific monster under the floorboards”"

Seriously go and watch it if you can.
