Amazing Spider-Man 2 Blu-Ray Electro collector’s edition

Amazing Spider-Man 2 isn’t even out in America yet and already they’re trying to sell the home-video release. Say what you want about Sony but they really have their finger on the button when it comes to marketing their products. And by that I mean the button is firmly pressed and held down and no-one lets up.

And that was my attitude. ‘Cool it Sony I’ve just seen the film at the cinema, I’m okay for now’. But you see Sony had an ace up their sleeve, the Electro deluxe collector’s edition, which is fascinating, hideous and brilliant all at the same time. Dont’ believe me, here’s a photo of the product which is essentially a bust of Jamie Foxx’s head which is where the Blu-Ray disc will be kept.

So, that my friends, is supposed to be Electro, however the guys over at screencrush.com have got it right when they say “This isn’t Electro — this is a blue, veiny man with a nerve condition.” It really does look quite bad, but at the same time it’d be a pretty cool little piece for a comic-book room, and I secretly kind of want it. 

This ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2′ Blu-ray set will hit stores later this year and retails for $149.99. Amazon is currently taking pre-orders.
