Aunt May actress Sally Field hasn’t seen either of the Amazing Spider-Man films

Aunt May is a crucial character in the Amazing Spider-Man universe in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2 she’s the one that convinces Toby Maguire’s Peter Parker to become Spider-Man again after a small hiatus. Also, at the end of Amazing Spider-Man 2 it’s her advice that convinces Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man to become Spider-Man again after a small hiatus…. Wait a minute…..

Anyway, the current Aunt May is portrayed by the acting legend that is Sally Field, who I absolutely loved in ‘Lincoln’ and think makes a superb Aunt May. However Field doesn’t seem to be a huge Spider-Man fan as she admitted on ‘The Late Show With David Letterman’ that she hasn’t seen the movie.

Not only that but it turns out she hasn’t seen either of Marc Webb’s Amazing Spider-Man films in which she stars in. She does go on to vow that she will watch both Amazing Spider-Man and Amazing Spider-Man at some point leading Letterman to joke that the movie opens in May 2nd so ‘don’t be surprised if you’re next to Sally Field’.

So there you go folks, what more incentive could you need to go and watch the film when it’s out?
