Shocker or Jackal to feature in Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game

Could Shocker or Jackal appear in the Amazing Spider-Man 2 game?
Rumours of what to expect for the Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game are surfacing more and more now that the UK and UK release date has been announced. We already know that the games main villain, or main mentor to Spider-Man will be none other than Kraven the Hunter. We also know from the last few moments of the game’s first trailer that Electro will feature and finally we have seen from the promotional cover art that the Kingpin will feature in some way.
But who else from the world of Spider-Man will be making an appearance in the game? Well Beenox, the game developers, have been having a bit of fun on their Facebook page at the moment as they’ve been running a series of marketing based competitions pitting two villains against each other in popularity contests.
The first ‘Bracket Battle’ was Kraven Vs Electro, who are both characters already revealed to be in the game. The next battle was ‘Mysterio Vs Vulture’ who, as the page pointed out, were both in recent Spider-Man game Shattered Dimensions. Next up was Lizard Vs Chameleon, Lizard was obviously in the Amazing Spider-Man game, having been based on the first Amazing Spider-Man film but Chameleon wasn’t.
However things get really interesting in the next battle. Whilst the last battles have hinted that various villains might be in the game sequel they’ve been vague at best, but the next battle seems the closest we’ve gotten so far to getting official confirmation that at least one of the two villains will be in the game.
Beenox writes
"These two villains were not featured in our previous games…maybe one of these will make an appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 game…"
Of course they’re on about Shocker and Jackal. The overwhelming concensus on the Facebook page seems to be that the fans want Shocker and his percussive blasts in the game. Whilst the focus on cross-genetics in the first game could spell-out the appearance of Jackal, this screen-shot from the game trailer makes it look we could be seeing Shocker.
