Norman Osborn fakes his own death in Amazing Spider-Man 2?

We’ve already seen the video-clip from the Kellogs Amazing Spider-Man 2 Web-Slinging game that announces that Norman OsBorn is dead and that his son Harry has taken over at OsCorp. But could Sony be trying to deliberately mislead fans here, it seems odd that they’d kill off one of Spider-Man’s bibggest foes so easily.

This especially seems to be the case when you take into account Chris Cooper, who is playing Norman Osborn in Amazing Spider-Man 2, who may have hinted that all is not as it seems when it comes to his characters on-screen death. Cooper indicated that this film was an ‘introduction’ to his character before going on to say in a later interview

"“Um, well, when you see [laughs], when you see “Spider-Man 2,” you’ll realize this is the introduction to Norman Osborn, and apparently it’s going to lead to other things down the road…All I can is this is a very strange introduction for Norman Osborn. I just can’t reveal why it’s that way, but this is not the beginning of Norman. It is the introduction, but it’s not the beginning, and I think that’s as far as I can go… I’m under the impression that this is going to carry on.”"

So there you have it, Coopers slightly cryptic message seems to hint that there is more to come from Norman Osborn and the original Green Goblin, which is an odd thing to suggest when Sony have just announced his characters death to the world. Unless of course he’s not actually dead.

In the comic books Norman Osborn is known for many things, getting people pregnant, faking other people’s deaths, and most of all faking is own death. Let’s face it this whole entire thing is screaming for a big reveal that Norman is actually alive and is the Green Goblin and he’s behind everything that’s happening at Oscorp. Yep, seems pretty certain to me.
