Peter and Gwen get steamy in new official Spider-Man 2 clip

One of the complaints that Spider-Man films have garnered in the past is that they’ve lost that element of fun and humour that prevails the Spider-Man comic books. Well it looks like director Mark Webb has managed to capture that element of fun in this new official clip from Amazing Spider-Man 2

In the clip Peter surprises Gwen with a kiss whilst the pair are hiding in a closet, leading her to reply ‘It felt a bit rushed’. Then in a fantastic moment of whimsical slapstick Peter manages to somehow apprehend all of the guards allowing Gwen to escape.

I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it and if the rest of the film manages to fit in moments of light-hearted fluffy fun like this around moments of pure drama and peril I’ll be happy!
